We open a store dedicated to designer Paul Smith

The space, located on Bonaire 7, in El Born in Barcelona, includes all the collections of men's and women's clothing, accessories and shoes by the well-known British designer.

As a novelty, we also have a small selection of the Red Ear collection, designed and produced in Japan, which is inspired by classic work clothes.

Paul Smith Collection

The new store, decorated by Paul Smith's internal store design team, is true to its peculiar style. The brand's physical stores are renowned for their uniqueness and eccentricity, including the vibrant and iconic pink fluorescent flagship store in Los Angeles.

Paul Smith, from amateur cyclist to fashion designer

Paul wanted to be a professional cyclist. He left school at age 15 to work in a Nottingham clothing store, while cycling outside working hours.

Paul Smith in his first store

When he was 17, he had a major cycling accident that took him to the hospital for almost six months. There he made friends with other inmates who were involved in the local art scene.

Eventually, he began working in a Savile Row workshop, a London street specializing in tailor-made tailoring. In 1969, he met Pauline Denyer, who would become his wife and with whom in 1970, he founded his first store, called “Paul Smith Vêtement Pour Homme”.

Those were the beginnings of what is currently an international firm, with sales in more than 70 countries and more than 17,000 distributors worldwide.

Classic tailoring with a dose of British humour

Paul Smith is not an image created by a company. A meat and bone designer making and selling clothes since the 70s.

His style is between the rigor of classic tailoring and a good dose of British humour. He was the first to use the term "classic with a twist" that keeps good dress from elitism.

A style, therefore, elegant, comfortable and eclectic, that squanders talent and taste for detail: colourful buttons on a shirt, a detail embroidered on the bottom of a pair of pants ... Why does clothing have to be boring?

The day to day of an independent designer

Paul Smith wakes up every day before five in the morning, he has been in the pool for a long time and at six he is already in the office, located in the London neighbourhood of Covent Garden. He is an inveterate collector, with an endless list of hobbies.

From that first hour until he returns home at six in the afternoon, the English designer does not stop: he designs glasses, lamps, perfumes, of course clothes and has even collaborated with the Land Rover car brand in the creation of an exclusive Defender.

Named knight by Queen Elizabeth II

The designer, named Sir by the Queen of England, considers himself "a very simple guy" who despite his notoriety remains an integral part of the company, involved in all aspects of the business.

He has dressed celebrities like David Bowie or Tony Blair and is currently Britain's most important designer, with stores in cities like London, Dubai, Bangalore and Los Angeles.
