Magnolia leaf tray

This tray is a refined object for leaving precious objects, handmade from black goatskin leather. With an original drawing by Federico Carandini, the tray is finished with a translucent layer obtained through a complex manufacturing process, whereby the parchment becomes transparent in its application.

Since 1991, Paolo Carandini has been creating pieces in leather and calfskin, exhibiting annually at major fairs such as Maison & Objet and Ambiente. In 2000, Carandini opened a shop in Florence and began using parchment, which became the star of the Boxes of Wonder collection, in which, like a book, each box tells a story through images on parchment.
